New Fallacy: (very important)

that it's fun for people who aren't really into musicals-turned-movies to sit and watch one with someone who is really into them. and better yet, to listen to that person's rendition of said musical at the same time said musical is on. (especially Grease, Jesuschrist Superstar, Rent, or anything else). while said musical is probably amazing on the stage. or even really good when it's a movie, it's never fun to watch a musical as a musical-turned-movie virgin with a musical-turned-movie ho.

weeeeeeeeeeeeee!

really. something must be done about this. maybe some sort of alliance? meetings? perhaps there is already a support group?

I happen to love movie/musicals! I suggest you watch a few more before you write them off completely!

i want a divorce!

oh, i have written them off at all. i've only written off watching them with people who insist on singing along to them when it's my first time seeing the musical.

kinda like that old joke, "who sings this song? let's keep it that way..." ;-)

Um... I don't think I can watch movie musicals with Jane. I'm one of "those people" And LOUDLY.

What if the person you are watching with is "one of those" but they are a good singer? then it could be kinda fun! However, I guess it also can be SUPER annoying now that I think about it......
okay i guess you win!

well... *maybe* if the person is a good singer i would consider watching a musical with them. but don't sing "to me." just sing along to yourself if you want. i would rather watch the real thing...

"'does he have it?' all this time i've been singing 'monkey hatchet."

monkey hatchet?

you should put that on kissthisguy.com my favorite website ever... it's a website for misheard lyrics... as in hendrix doin purple haze it sounds like "Scuse me, while I kiss this guy" lol....

....not that there's anything wrong with that ! :)

btw, did you figure out who i am yet?

Jane Know said...

the "monkey hatchet" reference is from ellen's "Here and Now."

i haven't figured it out yet! i wasn't sure if you are someone i know or not. apparently you are. who are you? someone from my hometown (the "teddy" reference)? ummm... did we one day eat hangover leftovers at my grandma's and play nintendo at your house?

Anonymous said...

i am from your hometown, but your reference is to someone else... id dont think i have ever been to your grandmas... try again and don't forget to wipe yo' feet honey chile

haw haw...that was gonna be my second guess. the "good singer" reference gave it away. :-) do we often spend christmas' together?

a tradition that was sadly broken last year :( I miss sitting in a bar with a couple of townies and then me and 6-10 girls playin stupid songs on the jukebox..... and just in reference to your earlier comment "who sings this song? let's keep it that way..." umm, i hate to tell ya but Kaci and Jojo never intended for you to be singin their tunes at the top of your lungs at midnight on christmas! ;) lol

haha! i am one of the worst when it comes to that... well, we'll have to renew the tradition this year. sorry i missed it last year. :-(
